Frequently asked questions about renting a space in Belgrade

What is Kreela?
Kreela is a Belgrade platform for renting cafés and small spaces by the hour, every week or for a whole day – for workshops, clubs, language exchanges, shoots and private events. The venue sets the rent; Kreela handles the request and the confirmation.
Where are the spaces?
In Belgrade. The first space is Pena Art Cafe (Savski venac) and will take requests soon. We add new cafés during the beta.
How much does it cost?
Each venue sets its rent. The Kreela fee is 12% of the rent, at least RSD 200 per session. Example: 2 h × RSD 2,500 = RSD 5,000 rent + RSD 600 Kreela fee = RSD 5,600 (the rent is an example). Nothing to pay upfront – the venue confirms your slot first.
How do weekly slots work?
You choose the day, time and number of weeks (e.g. Tuesdays 10–12, 8 weeks). The venue confirms the whole series at once. The price is the same for every session, and the breakdown also shows the total for all weeks.
What is the founding offer?
Founding offer: first 20 cafés – 0% commission for 3 months, then 5% instead of 7.5% for one year, plus a “Founding venue” badge. First 100 members – no Kreela fee for 4 weeks from your first booking. Café owners: refer a café that joins and get an extra month commission-free. Valid until places are filled or until 25 January 2027.
Who pays whom, and when?
Nothing to pay upfront – the venue confirms your slot first. During the beta we confirm all details, including payment, in writing after the venue confirms and before you commit to anything.
Can I record a podcast or do a photo/video shoot?
Yes. Cafés outside opening hours are quiet and authentic – good for podcasts, interviews, photo and video. Say in your request how many people and how much equipment are coming, and the venue confirms the conditions (power, noise, light).
Can I rent a whole day?
Yes, where the venue offers it: a whole closed day for a pop-up, workshop, shoot or celebration. The venue sets the full-day price and you see it before sending a request.
How do I list my café?
Fill in the form on the page for venues – it’s free and without obligation. Kreela only takes a commission on sessions booked through Kreela. Founding offer: first 20 cafés – 0% commission for 3 months, then 5% for one year, plus a “Founding venue” badge. Valid until 25 January 2027.
When does it start?
Kreela is launching as a beta in Belgrade. Sign up for early access on the home page and we'll get in touch as soon as the first slots open.
Can I cancel?
Draft beta rule: cancel at least 48 hours before the session and the Kreela fee is refunded in full. Later cancellations are not refunded. If the venue cancels, you get a full refund and we help you find an alternative.
What if I don't show up?
A no-show without cancelling counts as a late cancellation: the slot was held for you, so the fee is not refunded. If you're running late, tell the venue and us as soon as you can.
Is there a deposit or liability for damage?
A deposit, if the venue asks for one (usually for private events), is agreed directly with the venue and written into the confirmation. The person who sent the request is responsible for damage caused by their group.
What does Kreela guarantee?
A reply from the venue within 24 hours, a written confirmation of the slot and conditions, and – for weekly slots – that we will try to find a replacement space if the venue cancels.
What does “beta” mean?
Kreela is new and we're testing it with a small number of venues in Belgrade. Some things are done by hand, which is why we answer personally and quickly. Terms may change – we always tell you before you commit to anything.
